Wet Weather Line

Last update: Friday 17 January 2025 @ 11:00am

All Council natural turf sporting fields are Open for use.

Throughout this evening it is forecast for 10-20mm of rainfall. In the event that these heavy rains do occur, users will need to stop using the fields.

The current rains are making our playing fields surfaces soggy, rendering some areas unsuitable for use.

The decision to play will be at the discretion of the relevant Sporting Associations Clubs, match officials and users. The safety of the players and the longevity of the playing surface are critical, so that sport can be enjoyed by everyone, for the entire season.

For the preservation of the highly utilised areas of the field (such as the centre and goal mouth areas) Council recommends altering the location of training within the field to minimise any further damage.

Please take the time to ensure that you are familiar with the status of the Field Closures prior to games and training sessions.
