We advertise proposals or decisions relating to Certifications, Strategic Planning, Property and Infrastructure.

Development applications, integrated development applications and other notices for public consideration. 

We are required to publish proposals or decisions on development applications, integrated development applications and other public notices for community consideration under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act.

You can make a submission if the advertisement is a proposal, or you may be able to appeal to the NSW Land and Environment Court if the advertisement is about a decision. 

Applications go through several processes before they are advertised for community consideration, or consent is provided. 

Applications seeking consent 

We are obliged to publish applications seeking consent under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, however publishing the notices doesn't imply we will grant consent to these proposals. 

You can make a submission relating to any of the proposals to express support for, or object the proposal. Submissions must be accompanied by a disclosure statement, if you have made a reportable political donation or gift. 

Published decisions 

We publish the details of eligible planning and development decisions which can only be challenged in the Land and Environment Court up to three months after publication. 

Applications on public notice

Commencement of Development Control Plan

Notice is hereby given that Amendment 1 to the Bayside Development Control Plan 2022 will come into force on 21 June 2024. The amendment creates detailed controls for the assessment of development within four new Heritage Conservation Areas:

  • Banksia Heritage Conservation Area
  • Bardwell Valley Heritage Conservation Area
  • Brighton Le Sands Heritage Conservation Area
  • Ocean View Estate, Bexley Heritage Conservation Area

This amendment accompanies the commencement of Amendment No 4 to the Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021.

Issue of Development Consents

In accordance with Section 4.59 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the following Development Applications and Complying Development Certificates were approved by Council, subject to conditions, between 1 February and 28 February 2025.  The validity of these consents can only be questioned in the Land and Environment Court within three months of today's date. These consents are available for inspection on Council's website.

  • DA-2023/345 – Deferred Commencement - 125-131 Baxter Road, Mascot - Demolition of existing structures and construction of an eleven (11) storey building comprising tourist and visitor accommodation, single level of above ground car parking incorporating car stackers, associated landscaping and signage zones.

Notes: The application is considered as INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT in accordance with Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and requires the concurrence of the Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR) (formerly undertaken by the Department of Primary Industries Water) under Water Management Act 2000.

Public Notice of Council’s Intention to Grant a Licence

Pursuant to Section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993 Council hereby gives notice of its intention to grant a licence over Crown Land within 2 Myrtle Street, Botany NSW 2019, being lot 1 DP 1148910.

Council proposes to grant a licence for a term of 6 months and 30 days during the operation of the pool for the purpose of operating a kiosk for food and beverage services. Notice of Proposal to Grant License over Community Land

Pursuant to Section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993 (the LGA), Council hereby gives notice of its intention to grant a Licence agreement over Community Land known as 96 Mutch Avenue Kyeemagh together with community building. Comprising of the following Part lot and DP Number: Lot 5 DP 31742 indicatively shown on the map below shaded in RED.

Council proposes to grant a Licence for a period of five (5) years to St George Randwick Hockey Club Inc for the purpose of the sporting uses, playing, training and other club related activities that are the ancillary to the use of the land and the facility for open space and recreational purposes.

Council proposes to grant a Licence for a period of five (5) years to FixIt Sisters Shed. The FixIt Sisters Shed works in partnership with community and individuals to inspire and mentor women of all ages to develop and build their creative and practical skills.

Notice of Proposal to Grant Licence over Community Land

Notice of Proposal to Grant Licence over Community Land

Pursuant to Section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993 Council hereby provides notice of a proposed resolution that Council intends to make in accordance with Section 31 (2) of the same Act to classify Lot 11 DP 5177 being 13 Banksia St, Botany, as Operational Land. The proposed resolution can be viewed on Council’s website.
