Resilience in Bayside
The Bayside Community Strategic Plan sets a goal for Bayside to be green, resilient, and sustainable by 2035. One of the key outcomes is for the community to be able to withstand economic, social and environmental impacts. Building resilience means being prepared for challenges and adapting to them, whether they come from climate change, natural disasters or social and economic pressures.
Council has developed an Environment and Resilience Strategy to help create a strong and sustainable community. The strategy outlines actions to protect our environment and improve our ability to manage both everyday challenges and unexpected events. You can view the strategy here.
Why resilience matters
Resilience is not just about recovering from setbacks; it’s about being able to continue moving forward.
Bayside Council is building resilience across our community, helping people, neighbourhoods, businesses and systems withstand sudden events like storms and outages, while adapting to longer-term pressures like rising costs and climate change.
