Bayside Transport Strategy

The Bayside Transport Strategy has been developed in consultation with the community to provide a guide for infrastructure planning, policy development and advocacy for transport-related issues in Bayside.

Bayside Transport Strategy

The Bayside Transport Strategy addresses all forms of transport such as walking, cycling, freight, private vehicles, buses, trains and infrastructure across the local road network. It aims to improve the current transport system and prepare for future growth and is guided by overarching Directions and Principles that focus on the key matters to be addressed.

The responsibility for transport is shared, meaning that in delivering the Transport Strategy, Council has direct control for some transport actions and policies. In other cases, Council will need to collaborate with or advocate to the State Government on behalf of the community to improve the transport system.
