A double or single-sided A-frame sign is a freestanding, portable advertisement. It consists of either two advertising boards supporting each other in an “A” configuration, or one advertising board supported by one or more posts in a “A” configuration. 

Compliant A-frame signs must be: 

• Between 0.75 metre to 1.1 metres in height 
• Have a maximum width of 0.65 metres 
• Portable and stable 
• Freestanding, not fixed to the footpath, pole, or infrastructure  
• Windproof and of high quality 

Only one sign per street-fronted premises will be considered. A sign must only be displayed: 

• In the trading zone and not the pedestrian zone 
• During approved trading hours, and removed at close of business 
• 3 metres away from a street corner or arcade.

Fees for 2023/24 are valid until June 30, 2024. Fees for 2024/25 are effective from July 1, 2024.
