The winners of Bayside Council’s recent Christmas competitions were acknowledged at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 11 December.
The winners of Council’s inaugural Christmas Lights Competition that encouraged residents to light up their homes for Christmas were:
Maria Floudas from Kogarah, Oxana Barteneva from Hillsdale, Paula Penya from Eastlakes, Paolo Lopes from Bexley, Terese Tannen from Bexley and Tiani Rubal from Brighton Le Sands.

- 61 Stoney Creek Road, Bexley

The overall winner of the Best Christmas Lights in Bayside was Terese Tannen from Bexley.
Each winner received $1000 with an extra $1000 going to the overall winner.
The winners of the Bayside Christmas Card Competition were, Aarya Mishra from Pagewood, Hannah Hon from Arncliffe, Clementine Schofield from Botany and Elysia Woo from Wolli Creek.
They received a certificate and a printed gift pack of their winning cards. Their designs feature on Christmas cards used by the Mayor and Councillors.
The winners of the Christmas Flag competition were Ilaria Marsella from Brighton Le Sands and Tiana Noy from Botany. Tiana was also a winner in last year’s flag design competition.
As well as a certificate they also received a full-sized flag with their design on. Their flags are now flying across Council.
