Procurement

Procurement is the process of buying goods, services and works for Council to operate and service the community. This includes determining what goods, services and works are required, seeking competitive quotes, establishing supplier arrangements and processing payments.

Procurement decisions are made using the Value for Money principles, taking into consideration the four pillars of procurement below:

Procurement

Large spend over $250,000 (incl. GST) is bound by Section 55 of the Local Government Act and Regulations, policies and procedures to ensure we receive Value for Money, conduct fair and transparent procurement processes when spending public money.

Suppliers wanting to work for Council should inform themselves of information in the Statement of Business Ethics.

We recommend registering on VendorPanel Marketplace to make your business known to Council and to be notified of any tender opportunities.
