The Botany Section 7.11 Development Contributions Plan 2016 came into effect on 19 June 2018. This plan applies to the whole of the former City of Botany Bay.

More than 300 residents turned up for one last swim at the Botany Aquatic Centre on Sunday 27 April, celebrating the legacy of the Centre before the pool closed for redevelopment.
