Introduction:
I am a proud local that has lived in Mascot with my wife and two kids for more than 10 years. It is a great honour to serve as a Councillor on Bayside Council representing Ward 2 - the place my family and I call home.
Biography:
I have previously worked for Ministers in the NSW Government including a former Premier, Treasurer and a senior Minister, helping deliver projects that benefit the State. I currently work for a tech start up.
I am focused on making Bayside a better place to live and I am passionate about advocating for cost-of-living relief, accessible and efficient Council services, funding local projects for the benefit of residents, fighting against overdevelopment, reducing traffic congestion and issues, and giving residents a voice on issues like de-amalgamation.

Introduction:
I have spent over two decades working as a community worker, professional social worker and adult educator in fields as diverse as family and domestic violence, mental health, carers support, counselling, and TAFE teaching.
Some of my most rewarding years were spent in community development, including coordinating community development for a new suburb in Western Sydney, and managing community services in two large multicultural councils (seven years at Fairfield City Council and, briefly the former Hurstville City Council). I look forward to bringing this experience to bear serving my own local community in Bayside.
Biography:
I was born in Malaysia and moved to Australia in high school. My family of origin is bicultural, and I married into the Egyptian culture. This, and two decades working with First Nations people, as well as with migrants and refugees gives me a strong commitment to intercultural connection and appreciation of diversity.
I am determined to support a harmonious, respectful and compassionate Bayside for all. Motherhood of an active son has drawn me into the scouting movement, and I have a love of the outdoors and our natural environment. I am grateful that living in Bayside affords the opportunity for both bushwalking & paddling and appreciate the importance of ‘green and blue spaces’ for human health (in addition to their inherent worth). I hope to be able to apply that appreciation to ensuring that the medium density living that pervades Ward 2 is as liveable as possible.
In addition to my extensive community sector experience, I have background and training in economics, management and business development. I am committed to good strategic planning and responsible management of Council resources for the future.

Introduction:
I have run for the Greens in the Local Government Elections and NSW State elections twice since 2016. I have been a community builder in Sydney’s Inner West and Inner South West for over 30 years, working on campaigns and co-created events that draw attention to many environmental and social justice issues. I plan to draw on my life experience while working on Council to get the best sustainable results for local environments and communities.
Biography:
I came to Australia in 1987 following my Australian father returning home. I grew up in the UK, completing my O and A levels and went to a London Art School for two years getting a Diploma in General Vocational Design.
In Australia, I completed a BA honours in Art and more recently completed a Diploma in Interactive Digital Design. I believe arts practice has an important place in any community, bringing humanistic and inclusive projects for all to get involved with.
For the last 30 years in Sydney I have campaigned for Indigenous rights, justice for Palestine, de-militarisation, urgent action on climate change, as well as for LGBTQI rights, against domestic violence and for the rollout of sustainable energy and community-friendly public transport systems.
I have run many events that mix environmental campaign information with art and music touring around Australia, connecting with First Nations communities, art and environment groups. More recently I show sustainable energy in action with my Wheelie Bin Sound System set up for community events around Sydney.
I'm also a Screen and Digital t-shirt printer at an artist-run space in St Peters, Tortuga Studios, that regularly puts on community empowering events. Working with many groups over the years to achieve positive outcomes inspired me to run for Local Council.
