Collections and Online Resources

Our collection includes:

  • Local studies resources include books, periodicals, oral history recordings, images, maps
  • Large print and talking books
  • Newspapers are available at each Library. Some community language newspapers are also available

Bayside Libraries is committed to providing library services that meet the needs of our clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Community Language Collection

The library holds multiple permanent collections in community languages. We can provide or obtain books in any language. Please chat to staff for more information.

English Literacy Collection

For people who wish to improve their English skills we have a collection of material for learning English as a second language. Books and audio visual material are available (eg CDs, DVDs).

We also have a wide collection of books and audio kits in other languages for people who are interested in learning languages other than English.

Online Resources

We have a wide range of library e-resources available, including, books, films, music, e-magazines, children’s literacy and more.

Search our extensive range of databases with topics from Science to Hobbies or access to our ebooks Public Library collection. This collection offers full text titles with unlimited access designed specifically for public libraries. Featuring fiction and nonfiction titles for adults and juveniles as well as containing a wide range of subjects and topics to meet patron’s research and recreational needs.
