Bayside Council is looking for community feedback on a concept plan for the renewal of Booralee Park that includes new play equipment and an outdoor fitness station.
Council’s plan will replace the current play equipment with contemporary play equipment and activities, accessible pathways, and a fitness station for all levels fitness. The old play equipment and fence near Bay Street will be removed.
Booralee Park in Botany is a well-used and popular park that currently includes a large playground, a separate small, fenced playground, BBQ and picnic facilities, a full-sized basketball court, cricket practice nets, two amenity buildings and the Botany War Memorial.
Booralee Park supports a district-level sports field, drawing users from a wide area of Botany and adjoining suburbs, as well as users associated with organised sport in the park, the aquatic centre, and local schools.
Council’s plans for Booralee Park can be viewed online and community feedback closes on Monday 1 July 2024.

“Community feedback will help ensure the proposed upgrade will meet the needs of our community and be a fantastic place for Bayside residents to come and enjoy a range of health and recreational benefits,” Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.
