Residents have the opportunity to celebrate their mum, or a mother they would like to recognise, by planting a native tree this Mother’s Day.
This will also help increase our tree canopy, with a special ‘Trees for Mum’ planting on Saturday 11 May.
Planting a tree is a great way to honour your mother and can also serve as a cherished living memorial for mums who have passed.
It is also a lovely family activity to share as a group.
Our Trees for Mum events will be held in Bexley and Pagewood on Saturday 11 May 2024 at:
- Mutch Park Skate Park, Pagewood
from 10am to 12noon
- Evatt Park Bexley
from 1pm to 3pm
Registration is essential and closes on Sunday 5 May 2024.
This is a free event. All equipment will be provided, and Council staff will be on hand to assist with the planting. Participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen.
