Have Your Say on Scarborough Park Masterplan

Bayside Council has created a draft masterplan to manage the future of Scarborough Park and is holding several guided tours and on-site chats to give residents an opportunity to discover more about the park and provide feedback on the plan.

Scarborough Park is an expansive open space of approximately 61ha and is one of the earliest parks created by the NSW Government in 1879. The draft masterplan will allow Bayside council to effectively manage the future of Scarborough Park as a vibrant community recreational area.

Council will hold two Environmental Discovery Tours on Wednesday 15 January. Residents can join an afternoon or evening guided tour with Ecologist, Dr Arthur White to learn about local wildlife and habitats around the ponds of Scarborough Park. The tours will last about 90 minutes each with an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts on the proposed draft masterplan for the park.

Council’s Project Team will also be onsite from 3 to 5pm on Wednesday 22 January, Monday 3 February and Wednesday 5 February to talk about the draft masterplan.

Residents can also read the draft masterplan provide feedback through a short online survey available on Council’s website.
