Time: 2:00PM - 4:30PM
Location: Arncliffe Youth Centre
What you need to bring:
- your bike and a rag.
We will show you how to:
- conduct a bicycle safety check
- build your toolkit to care for your bike
- keep your bike clean and lubricated
- take your wheels and tyres on and off
- fix a flat tyre – patch and change an inner tube
- check brake wear and function
If time allows:
- introduction to cable systems – cable maintenance, issues and barrel adjusters
- brake adjustment – pad alignment
- tuning gears – limit adjustments, indexing
This is an open age event (14 is the minimum age). However, children 16 years and under need to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
