Learn how to maintain your bike at this hands-on workshop.
Bayside is hosting a free 2.5 hour Bicycle Maintenance & Repair Workshop.
You'll learn how to:
- conduct a bicycle safety check
- Build your toolkit to care for your bike
- Keep your bike clean and lubricated
- Take your wheels and tyres on and off
- Fix a flat tyre - patch and change an inner tube
- Check brake wear and function
If time allows:
- Introduction to cable systems - cable maintenance, issues and barrel adjusters
- brake adjustment - pad alignment
- tuning gears - limit adjustments, indexing.
This event is for Bayside residents aged 14+, however children aged 16 years and under need to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
